BROADROCK is a cabaret about one performer’s struggle being pulled between a love for musical theatre and good old-fashioned rock n’ roll.
Noah is a performer based in Sydney and has never found his place on either side of this musical divide. this show aims to bridge the gap. A chance to tell stories in one cohesive experience through songs from popular artists and musicals that are character or story-based, and have a lot of heart. Armed with a six-string and his vocals, Noah just wants this to be a fun night out. Somewhere between an acoustic gig at a pub to a musical theatre cabaret. - - - Noah is an accomplished and versatile performer, starring in a range of productions across New South Wales. Noah has completed the Diploma of Musical Theatre at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) after completing his Bachelor of Music and Sound Design at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). Over the last few years, Noah has played roles such as ‘Enjolras’ in Les Misérables (Packemin Productions), ‘J.D’ in Heathers, ‘Stacee Jaxx’ in Rock of Ages, and ‘The Beast/The Prince’ in Beauty and the Beast. Following his graduation from NIDA, Noah appeared in Packemin Productions’ Kinky Boots as well as Musical Directing and performing in the original production of None of Woman Born, a retelling of Shakespeare’s Macbeth with Celtic Folk Music. Most recently, Noah has directed a production of This is Our Youth which premiered at the Meraki Arts Bar in Sydney, and has also appeared in the Sydney Fringe Show Bare. Noah has had private singing training for ten years and is also an experienced guitar player. |
